Mats Sundin ended the season with 40 goals and 41 assists ranking him 7th among league center-men while making him one of only 20 skaters with more than 80 points.

His 40 goals ranks 7th among all skaters and shows he is still an offensive dynamo.

His ridiculous +37 ranks 9th in the league and proves he is an elite back checker also.

Mats Sundin is an interesting character, while his +37 is by all means great, you can see over the last few seasons as he has aged, that his numbers have steadily declined in a few key catagories. His hits total last season was only 92, a 64 hit drop since his heyday only 4 seasons ago. Also dropping are his shot counts, total points, games played, etc. F

For these reasons, his appeal is denied.

Three seasons ago he was an 89 ov. Not asking for him to be reset to that, just what he was last season as his goals have increased from 33 to 40 and his plus minus increased from 16 to 37. He was on several leader boards as mentioned above. He has improved upon his performance the previous season so to me this says he did not decline at all... last season. Which is what the appeal should be looking at. Not several seasons prior
