Proposed rule change for the 2003 off-season.

Every 2nd season you will be eligible to Save a Veteran from the retirement list.
Cost will be the same team points by ov for training camps.

64 OV and under

10 team points

65 OV - 69 OV

20 team points

70 OV - 74 OV

40 team points

75 OV - 79 OV

60 team points

80 OV - 85 OV

80 team points

85 OV +

100 team points

After the retirement list is posted you can post the player you want to keep and he will keep his current ratings and delay retirement for 1 season. If the player no longer has a contract, his previous contract will be extended.

I should clarify, it's not gonna be 2003, 2005, 2007...
Basically you are eligible to do save a vet as long as you didn't just do save a vet the previous season. I don't have anyone to save so I won't be using it. Making me eligible for next season.
